Description

A delicious cake inspired by the flavors of apple cider donuts, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apple cider

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and apple cider to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool before serving.
