Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour and granulated sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  3. Press mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  4. Layer apples over the crust. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Combine oats and walnuts for the streusel topping. Sprinkle over apples.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool before cutting into bars.
