Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
