A delicious pumpkin pie sweetened with brown sugar for a rich, caramel-like flavor.

- 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Mix pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat in eggs, then gradually stir in evaporated milk.
- Pour filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 40-45 minutes.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh pumpkin puree for best results.
- Check pie at 40 minutes; a knife should come out clean when done.
