Ingredients

  • 6 cups thinly sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 egg beaten (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix apples, sugars, lemon juice, spices, and flour in a bowl.
  3. Line pie plate with one crust.
  4. Pour apple mixture into crust.
  5. Drizzle caramel sauce over apples.
  6. Cover with second crust, seal edges, and cut slits in top.
  7. Brush crust with beaten egg.
  8. Bake 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool before serving.
