A delicious twist on classic apple pie with caramel sauce.
Ingredients

- 6 cups thinly sliced apples
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg beaten (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix apples, sugars, lemon juice, spices, and flour in a bowl.
- Line pie plate with one crust.
- Pour apple mixture into crust.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over apples.
- Cover with second crust, seal edges, and cut slits in top.
- Brush crust with beaten egg.
- Bake 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use tart apples for best flavor
- Prevent overbrowning with foil on crust edges
- Serve warm with ice cream
