- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
- 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out pie crust and fit into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim edges.
- In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and cloves.
- Beat in eggs, then stir in evaporated milk until smooth.
- Pour filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 40-45 minutes until set.
- Cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
- Let the pie cool to room temperature before slicing.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg.
