- 4 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and return to the pot.
- Add butter, milk, sour cream, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mash until smooth.
- Spread mashed potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
