Description
A rich and smooth tomato pasta sauce that pairs perfectly with your favorite pasta.
Ingredients

- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 800g canned crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and stir well.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add heavy cream, sugar, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Serve over cooked pasta.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra spice, add red pepper flakes.
- Use fresh basil instead of dried for a stronger flavor.
