- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, cream, and vanilla. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and whisk in eggs. Stir in pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust and return to the oven for 25 minutes.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For best results, use fresh pecans.
- You can toast the pecans for extra flavor before adding them to the filling.
