Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chopped dried figs
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped figs.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
