A moist and flavorful cake combining the sweetness of figs with the nuttiness of almonds.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup chopped dried figs
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chopped figs.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
- Chopped fresh figs can be used instead of dried.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
