- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup cold butter, cubed
- 4–5 tablespoons ice water
- 4 large ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Gradually add ice water until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out dough and line a pie dish.
- Toss pear slices with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
- Fill crust with pear mixture.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45-50 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Use firm pears for better texture.
- Chill dough for easier handling.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
