Description

Every great recipe has a story, and my Grilled Citrus Dijon Chicken is no exception. It all began on a sun-drenched afternoon when I stumbled upon a quaint farmer’s market. The vibrant colors of fresh produce and the zesty aroma of citrus fruits filled the air, sparking an idea. I wanted to create a dish that captured the essence of summer, something that would dance on the taste buds like a gentle breeze. That’s when the idea of Grilled Citrus Dijon Chicken was born.

Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

Zest of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, freshly squeezed orange juice, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, and lemon zest.

2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them.

3. Seal the bag, ensuring the chicken is well-coated, and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grates.

5. Place the chicken breasts on the grill, and grill each side for about 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

6. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best results, make sure the chicken is evenly coated with the marinade. Turn the bag occasionally to ensure every inch of the chicken absorbs the flavors.

Keep a close eye on the chicken to avoid overcooking. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it’s cooked to perfection.

Leftover Grilled Citrus Dijon Chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
