- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Spread dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
- In a bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
- Spread frosting over cooled bars and add sprinkles. Cut into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For thicker frosting, use less milk.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for easier spreading.
