Description

Crispy baked cauliflower tots, a healthy and delicious alternative to traditional potato tots.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Steam cauliflower florets for 5-6 minutes until tender. Drain well.
  3. Chop cauliflower finely or pulse in a food processor.
  4. In a bowl, mix cauliflower with cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, and spices.
  5. Shape mixture into small tot shapes and place on baking sheet.
  6. Brush with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip halfway through baking for even crispiness.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

  • Press out excess moisture from cauliflower after steaming
  • For crispier tots, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end
