- 1 cup heavy cream
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- Combine cream and butter in a saucepan. Heat until butter melts. Set aside.
- In another saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Increase heat to medium-high. Boil until mixture turns golden brown.
- Slowly add cream mixture. Stir constantly.
- Cook until temperature reaches 245°F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and salt.
- Pour into prepared pan. Let cool completely.
- Cut into squares and wrap in parchment paper.
