Description

A creamy, refreshing tropical dessert made with frozen pineapple, perfect for summer days. Just like the one from the theme park, but homemade!

Ingredients

Scale

Dole Whip Base

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/3 cup vanilla ice cream (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • salt (a tiny pinch)

Instructions

  1. Ensure your pineapple chunks are fully frozen. If using fresh pineapple, freeze for at least 2–3 hours beforehand.
  2. In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine frozen pineapple, pineapple juice, vanilla ice cream, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Blend until creamy and smooth. Stop to scrape the sides if needed. Add more juice if the mixture is too thick.
  4. Spoon into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip and swirl into a bowl or cone. Or scoop directly into a dish.
  5. Serve immediately for the best soft-serve texture and flavor.

Notes

For a vegan version, use non-dairy ice cream. You can also freeze the whipped mixture for 20–30 minutes after blending for a firmer texture.
