- 1 whole chicken or 1 block of firm tofu
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the chicken or tofu by patting it dry and placing it in a roasting pan.
- In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Brush the maple mixture evenly over the chicken or tofu.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Roast in the oven for 45 minutes for chicken or 25 minutes for tofu, basting occasionally with the glaze.
- Check for doneness and let rest before serving.
Notes
- For a crispier skin or exterior, broil for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Adjust cooking time based on the size of the chicken or thickness of the tofu.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
