Description

This vibrant Pina Colada Swirl Smoothie is a tropical, non-alcoholic treat layered with pineapple, mango, coconut cream, and stunning fruit purees for a marbled effect. Creamy, refreshing, and perfect for summer brunches or a mid-day pick-me-up!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • ½ cup frozen mango chunks
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ¾ cup coconut milk (or cream of coconut for richness)
  • ½ cup pineapple juice
  • Optional: 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp raspberry or strawberry puree (for red swirl)
  • 1 tbsp blue spirulina or blueberry syrup (for blue swirl)
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Optional: Whipped cream
  • Garnish: Maraschino cherry (fresh pineapple wedge)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine frozen pineapple, mango, banana, coconut milk, pineapple juice, and lime juice if using. Blend until completely smooth.
  2. Pour a small amount of smoothie into the bottom of a tall clear glass.
  3. Drizzle a bit of raspberry or strawberry puree along the inside of the glass, then pour more smoothie. Repeat the process, adding blue syrup in between layers.
  4. Use a skewer or straw to gently swirl the colors for a marbled effect.
  5. Top with whipped cream if desired and garnish with a maraschino cherry and pineapple wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter smoothie, substitute almond milk for coconut milk.

You can replace mango with papaya or peaches for a different fruit base.

To make it boozy, add 1 oz of white rum when blending.

The thicker the smoothie, the better the swirl holds—avoid making it too runny.

Best served fresh. You can freeze the base and re-blend as needed, but assemble with swirls just before serving.
