- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 4 eggs (large)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, chipotle powder, and salt. Fold gently until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips if using, and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
Notes
Start with 1/2 tsp chipotle for mild spice. For a more intense kick, go up to 1 tsp. These freeze beautifully!
