A warm and inviting spiced apple cider sangria, perfect for fall gatherings. This drink combines the flavors of apple cider, red wine, and spices for a delightful seasonal beverage.

- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 star anise (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine red wine, apple cider, and brandy.
- Add maple syrup and stir until dissolved.
- Add apple slices, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let flavors meld.
- Serve chilled over ice, garnished with additional apple or orange slices if desired.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the wine and brandy and use sparkling apple cider.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
- Best served the same day but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
