Description

Sweet and spicy candied nuts with a perfect crunch. Ideal for snacking or gifting.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add both sugars, water, cinnamon, cayenne, and salt. Stir until combined.
  3. Add nuts and coat evenly with the sugar mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Spread the nuts on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden brown.
  6. Let cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
