Description

A flavorful and nutritious bowl featuring teriyaki-glazed tempeh served over rice with fresh vegetables.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz tempeh, cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a pan and sauté tempeh until golden brown.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the tempeh and simmer until thickened.
  4. Assemble the bowl by placing rice at the bottom, followed by tempeh, broccoli, and carrots.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve.
