Description

A moist and flavorful pumpkin bread that’s perfect for fall. Easy to make and packed with warm spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, oil, eggs, pumpkin puree, and water until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use canned pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For extra flavor, add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.
