4th of July Strawberries
These 4th of July Strawberries are the ultimate no-bake patriotic dessert! Juicy strawberries are dipped in creamy white chocolate and decorated with red, white, and blue sprinkles. They're quick to make, festive to serve, and loved by all ages—perfect for your Independence Day celebration!
Microwave-safe bowl (or double boiler)
Spoon or spatula
Parchment paper or wax paper
Baking sheet or tray
Toothpicks or skewers (optional)
- 1 pound fresh strawberries washed and thoroughly dried
- 8 oz white chocolate or white chocolate chips
- ½ cup red white, and blue sprinkles (nonpareils or jimmies)
Prep the strawberries: Wash the strawberries and dry them completely with a paper towel. Moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
Dip the strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem or use a toothpick to dip it about two-thirds into the melted chocolate.
Add sprinkles: Immediately dip the bottom third of the chocolate-coated strawberry into the red, white, and blue sprinkles.
Let them set: Place the strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and allow them to set at room temperature for 15–20 minutes or in the fridge for 5–10 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
Make sure your strawberries are completely dry before dipping—any water will cause the chocolate to seize.
Add ½ teaspoon of coconut oil to the chocolate if it becomes too thick.
These are best enjoyed the same day but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Feel free to use candy melts, almond bark, or milk/dark chocolate for a flavor twist.
This recipe is great for kids to help with—just set up a little dipping station and let them decorate!
