Ingredients

Dole Whip Base

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/3 cup vanilla ice cream or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tsp lemon juice optional, for brightness
  • salt a tiny pinch

Instructions

  • Ensure your pineapple chunks are fully frozen. If using fresh pineapple, freeze for at least 2–3 hours beforehand.
  • In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine frozen pineapple, pineapple juice, vanilla ice cream, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Blend until creamy and smooth. Stop to scrape the sides if needed. Add more juice if the mixture is too thick.
  • Spoon into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip and swirl into a bowl or cone. Or scoop directly into a dish.
  • Serve immediately for the best soft-serve texture and flavor.

Notes

For a vegan version, use non-dairy ice cream. You can also freeze the whipped mixture for 20–30 minutes after blending for a firmer texture.
